Grooming tips from Handsome man Tim Robards

Brand ambassador and all-round Handsome man Tim Robards shares his top tips on grooming and looking good.

1. Treat your skin to the products it needs

Great hair and a cheeky smile aren’t enough to hide problem skin. That’s why treating your face with the respect it deserves is one of the most important steps you can take to improve your overall appearance. Using skincare products with organic and natural ingredients, such as the Handsome Face Pack, which features both a facial moisturiser and facial wash in one will keep your face smooth and supple, without any harsh chemicals.

2. Find your signature scent

Aftershave isn't supposed to be loud or obvious. You don't want people to stop in their tracks and notice. Rather, it should become a subtle part of your overall presence. I like to use woody, spicy or herby scents, which suit the cooler months, such as the new #1 Fragrance from Handsome, while lighter, citrusy scents work best in spring and summer.

 3. Scrub your face

Use a microbead-free scrub on a Monday morning to scrub the weekend off your face – you'll be looking better than you feel in no time! Every other day of the week, go for a plain facial wash that's less abrasive.

4. Manage your facial fuzz

Unless you're planning to move out into the wilderness to find yourself, facial hair of any length needs to be tamed and maintained if you want to be taken seriously. Using a decent shave gel is as important as the razor, the Handsome Shave Gel is organic and natural and great for softening stubble for a close shave.

 5. Nail your hand-care routine

Cutting your nails once a week – preferably after a bath or shower, to soften them and make them easier to trim – is basic. But that rough, flaky skin around the nail bed, treat with a tiny bit of moisturiser every couple of days to smooth things over.
